Community Development Medicinal Unit (CDMU) is an independent not-for-profit organization providing medicine and medical supplies to healthcare organizations and end users in India, at the best price possible. Recognizing the fact that essential medicines still remain out of reach for many people in India, CDMU works to bridge the gaps so that all patients have access to quality products at a fair price.
It is a need-based initiative at the community level to:
- enhance access to quality essential medicines at an affordable price and
- improve their rational use through member, partners, and associate organizations
We distribute over 800. different healthcare products to customers and 449 partners across the country. We work with pharmaceutical companies, international and local NGOs, large funding organizations, ministries of health and central medical stores, and hospitals.
Headquartered in Kolkata, we have established touch bases in West Bengal, Asam, and Jharkhand. We pride ourselves on our efficient and dedicated team members, who are passionate about our mission.
